Events Committee Member Sign Ups
Tomorrows Green has been operating as a grass roots collective that hosted occasional events since 2016. In August of 2018 Tomorrows Green was granted 501(c)(3) status and has quickly ramped up it's community involvement.
The organization is currently governed by a youth board made up of students that all attend local high schools. To ensure the success and longevity of the organization the board has decided to set up committees as a way to involve more students in the organizational aspects and vet board member candidates.
We are launching fundraising and events coordination committees this year. Both committees will be chaired by current board members and consist of 5-7 total members. The committees will meet once a month and will present ideas to the board and execute approved actions.
Committee members are also good candidates for future board members and weather you are interested in that next step or not we encourage you to apply. Our board of directors can sign community forms for all meeting hours and any additional independent work.
Fundraising committee members will work to raise funds for the organization. Members will get experience writing grants and pitching cooperate sponsors. Without funds the organization has limited capabilities which places significant responsibility in the hands of committee members.
Events coordination committee members will work together to organize local events such as beach cleanups, tree plantings, and other community involvement projects. Members will get experience promoting events and running social media/advertisement campaigns.
If serving on either of these committees sounds interesting we encourage you to apply. Applications are due by December 15th. Feel free to use the embedded google form or view it full screen here. Please feel free to contact us at email@example.com with any questions.
